Front page

I didn't find a term used for the front page, home page, portal page into the wiki. Whatever the term is, this is the most difficult page for sure. I looked at many wikis to see how to write a short introduction of myself that has the right information and the right tone. I also wanted to have a picture of myself, since some people remember faces better than names. This also proved to be a challenge. I had to crop the photo and change the size quite a few times. The photo is not the best quality and I will replace it as soon as I have the opportunity to have a professional one taken.

Professional wikis are important already and will become more so--many times my clients ask me where my wiki is located. Now I can tell them, http://mhofer.tie.wikispaces.net/Marilyn%27s+Home

I am really disappointed I did not include the address for my wiki space right on the front page. I am afraid people will not access it.
I did find out first hand how a wiki can be so important. I am on travels for an extended period of time and my lap top with all of my favorites marked is not as accessible as it is at home, so now I am finding I can go to my wiki and find some key links. I also realize a few I left out. I will add them, when I get to a place I can have my lap top connected.
I apparently don't have my correct password, so cannot add to my blog. Oh, My.

Ah, ha. I was able to find my correct login and password. Too many to keep track of--especially those I don't often use--or the ones I had set my own computer to remember--that may not be such a great idea. Now I want to discover how to create a link right from this blog to my wiki.
